NOTCHCAFE / COMPANIONS

Little companions for your Mac.

A few small friends roam NotchCafe’s expanded notch. They wander, nap, climb, and react to your day, without getting in the way.

Meet the regulars

• Miso, a calico kitten, and Biscuit, a cream-and-caramel puppy.
• A warm-brown Capybara and Lottie the sheep.
• Puddles the duck and her ducklings Pip, Peep, and Poppy.

Choose kittens, puppies, capybaras, and sheep, up to five of each, and invite the duck family along. Each companion has its own pace, route, and resting spots.

They have their own little world

• Click a companion to show some love. Occasionally, they bring a tiny leaf or coffee-bean gift.
• They climb the notch’s controls and cards, and the furniture painted into LoFi scenes.
• Miso and Biscuit curl up together. With Hide-and-seek on, ears occasionally peek over a card.

Weather, scenes, and focus

When it rains, companions put on raincoats and shake off the drops. With local weather on, sunny days bring naps, and Cozy night shift gathers them for staggered naps at night.

During a focus session they settle down to sleep, then celebrate when you finish.

Make them yours

In Settings → Pets, choose your companions and set their size from 75% to 150%. Ducks are off by default. Movement follows NotchCafe’s Animations setting and macOS Reduce Motion.
